Background

Mr. Soethiono earned his law degree cum laude in Business and Industrial Law from Trisakti University, Indonesia (2004), Master of Laws degree in Economic Law from University of Indonesia (2006), and Doctor of Laws degree from University of Pelita Harapan (2024). He is the Founder and Managing Partner of the firm, where he has devoted his practice for the past 10 years, with a focus on complex individual and corporate reorganizations'. During such time, Ferdie has accumulated experience in a broad range of complex commercial disputes and regularly advises multinational companies.

Mr. Soethiono is a commercial attorney focusing mainly on the resolution of complex disputes and evolving issues with heavy exposure to bankruptcy, company and individual restructuring, and intellectual property rights. He combines being a seasoned practitioner with being a thought leader in the field of commercial litigation, a member of Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI), a Certified Mediator from Indonesian Institute for Conflict Transformation (IICT), admitted to practice as an IP Consultant, and a registered member of Indonesian Association of Receiver and Administrator (AKPI).

Mr. Soethiono has achieved highly favorable results in trial, motion, in settlement, and on appeal. In recent years he has won defense victories at trial on claims totaling more than US$30 million dollars and obtained dismissal in numerous million dollar claims against his clients. He has handled more than 100 cases involving various complex commercial disputes, including bankruptcy, suspension of debt payment, and company restructuring.

A proficient toastmaster, Mr. Soethiono is often invited as a speaker on numerous occasions such as, among others, Indonesian Ministry events, universities seminar, and private companies workshop and/or training. Aside from his day-to-day life as an attorney, he is a gym rat and dog lover.
